Where the Church Meets the Recovery Journey

Today I sat down with two women I once met behind the walls of the county jail — Candy and Schreck. Back then, we opened our Bibles together and began a journey called Life Transformation.

Now, years later, they’re walking in freedom, faith, and recovery. I asked them how important the church has been in their healing… and their answers moved me deeply. It’s a reminder that the Church isn’t just a building — it’s a lifeline.

When the church stays connected, recovery doesn’t end at the gate — it grows roots.
